Russia and Azerbaijan Increase Cooperation in Specialised Engineering Direction

At the yearend of 2018 the trade turnover increased by 13.8% compared with 2017 and amounted to 2 400 million US dollars. Exports amounted to 1 700 million US dollars, imports – to 718 million US dollars.

TAURAS-FENIX JSC representative participated in Russian industrial enterprises business mission in Azerbaijan headed by Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

During his working visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov held a meeting with the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Abdullah ogly Mustafayev and together with his Azerbaijani counterpart opened the work of business Mission of Russian industrial enterprises to the Republic of Azerbaijan. At the meeting the parties discussed issues of increasing the trade share between our countries.

One of the business program events was the "Agricultural Machinery" session. Among the participants there were the leadership of the Rosspetsmash Association, representatives of leading Russian manufacturers of agricultural machinery and equipment for the food industry as well as companies-consumers of agricultural machinery products. Exchange of contacts took place within the framework of the thematic session. TAURAS-FENIX Export Department specialist held talks with the companies participating in the mission. He told colleagues about the enterprise activities, competencies and export potential of the plant.

In addition, important documents for the two countries were signed within the mission framework. According to the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, the execution of the documents “testifies to the progressive development of industrial cooperation between the two countries”.

The results of the business meetings with the partners of the hosting party will be summed up, however, the event participants point out that two countries have great prospects for cooperation in the field of agricultural machinery production. Denis Manturov, Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, noted in his speech that the Russian side sees new opportunities to intensify industrial cooperation with Azerbaijan, including in the field of agricultural and food machine building.
