TAURAS-FENIX – THE EXAMPLE OF SUCCESS OF ST. PETERSBURG INDUSTRY.

On March 31st the official delegation of St. Petersburg Government headed by the vice governor Sergey Nikolaevich Movchan visited the machinery works TAURAS-FENIX. Having examined the enterprise together with the president of TAURAS-FENIXS company Sigitas Mitskus, the vice governor Sergey Nikolaevich Movchan has highly appreciated the level and scales of production.

"It is a really modern Russian plant engaged in the equipment producing for the  food and processing companies", the vice governor has expressed his opinion.

The delegation headed by the vice governor Sergey Nikolaevich Movchan who supervises industrial, scientific and technical policy of St. Petersburg includes: the first deputy chairman of committee on industrial policy and innovations Mikhail Penziyev, the head of the development department of the agroindustrial complex of Management of the industry development and AIC of committee on industrial policy and innovations Dmitry Prozherin, the chief of the office of St. Petersburg vice governor A. Movchan Dmitriyevich Nazarov and other participants.

The distinguished guests were welcomed by the president of TAURAS-FENIX Co. Sigitas Mitskus and the vice-president of the company Anatoly Petrov at the machinery works.

The visit main objective of the government delegation was to see the industrial complex TAURAS-FENIX.

Examining the workshops, the delegation has passed all chains of production – from a site of primary metal processing to assembly sites. Representatives of the city Government have drawn special attention to the high level of hardware, automation and a computerization of productions, and also – the social conditions created for employees of the enterprise.

Visiting of the plant has come to the end with a survey of finished goods – the modern automated equipment on filling and packing of a wide range of food.

The president of the company Sigitas Mitskus has told his guests about plans of TAURAS-FENIXS concerning the construction of new production premises and other priority tasks. According to him, implementation of these projects will allow the company not only to increase outputs, but also to propose to the Customers the best solutions on creation of filling & packing complexes and technological lines.

TAURAS-FENIXS is a really modern St. Petersburg plant which work allows of the food and processing enterprises to acquire the necessary equipment in Russia, but not abroad, the vice governor Sergey Nikolaevich Movchan has summed up the meeting results. Thus, TAURAS-FENIXS plant is an excellent example of the successful import substitution realized by an industrial complex of St. Petersburg.
