«GOLDEN MERCURY»: THE FIRST STAGE HAS BEEN PASSED!

TAURAS-FENIX company has won a regional stage of a competition on the National award "Gold Mercury" which is carried out by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia. Now TAURAS-FENIX will present a machine-building complex of St. Petersburg at the federal level – in the nominations "The Best Export Enterprise in the Sphere of Industrial Production".

The national award in the field of business activity "Gold Mercury" was founded by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia in 2002. The Russian export enterprises and small business are invited to annual competition of a prestigious award.

Mission of a competition consists in promoting development of business in Russia and  giving a chance to the enterprises to present the best samples of production and services as well as the most successful business models to wide audience. It allows the companies nominees to declare itself at the region and the country level.

Other obejectives of this event – promoting of ideas of business social responsibility, strengthening of Russian business traditions, formation of society respect to business.

The competition is carried out in two steps – at the regional and federal levels. Winning the federal stage, the companies acquire the right to use the Gold Mercury trademark for advertizing of the goods and services, are awarded with Diplomas of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and figurines "Gold Mercury".

This year TAURAS-FENIX machinery works became one of the participants of a status competition.

The company is engaged in development and a mass production of the automatic equipment on filling and packing of food and nonfoods, and also – technological lines on confectionery production.

Today, the filling&packaging automatic machines manufactured at machinery works TAURAS-FENIX in St. Petersburg operate at the enterprises of food and processing industries practically in all regions of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and other CIS countries.

In recent years the equipment of TAURAS-FENIX is delivered also to foreign countries – to the countries of Europe and the Middle East. As the active participant of import substitution and development of export activity programs, the company surely presents an industrial complex of St. Petersburg at regional and world markets.

For participation in the competition for the award "Gold Mercury", TAURAS-FENIX company has submitted the application to the nomination "The Best Export Enterprise in the Sphere of Industrial Production".

The advisory council of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry has considered the documents submitted on a competition by applicants and has determined by one winner in each of the nominations. TAURAS-FENIX company became the best industrial export enterprise of the Northern capital, according to competent jury.

Now, the company will compete for the victory at the federal level competition. In every nominations, including the nomination "The Best Export Enterprise in the Sphere of Industrial Production", 85 companies applicants, on number of regions of the Russian Federation take part.

The competition between the best machine-building companies will not be easy. However, TAURAS-FENIX company is ready for a victory and intends to use the best efforts again to support prestige of St. Petersburg as the leading scientific and technological center of Russia.
