State Duma Deputies Interested in Supporting Russian Machine Builders
On March 21, a meeting of the Expert Council on Legislative Support of Agricultural, Food and Specialised Machine Building under the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship was held in the State Duma. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Commission for Agricultural Machinery Development Strategy, the Russian Engineering Union and members of the Board of Directors of the Rosspetsmash Association, including Svetlana Danilina, Director General of TAURAS-FENIX JSC.
The meeting’s agenda included a number of issues related to the development of machine-building for the food industry and agriculture. Vladimir Gutenev, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship, Viktor Zobnev, Chairman of the Expert Council, Konstantin Babkin , President of the Rosspetsmash Association, deputies of the State Duma and Russian Government officials, representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, Ministry of Agriculture of Russia along with managers of specialised equipment production plants and scientific institutions employees spoke about manufacturers’ current state, prospects and government incentives.
Speaking in support of industrial enterprises, Konstantin Babkin, President of the ROSSPETSMASH Association, noted that the food machine-building industry demonstrates a steady increase in productivity, and agricultural equipment manufacturers are interested in improving equipment quality.
Thanks to effective state support enterprises in previous years invariably increased production and exports. At the beginning of this year the plants continued building on the success.
Summing up the meeting, Viktor Zobnev, Chairman of the Expert Council, noted that the Council has recently received a large number of proposals for improving the subsidy mechanisms, thanks to which both industry and consumers can get favourable conditions for work and development. “In the near future, we will draw up the minutes and bring the received proposals to the relevant ministries and the Government of the Russian Federation.”
