TAURAS-FENIX is admitted as a systemically important company in Russia

Saint Petersburg machinery works TAURAS-FENIX was awarded the status of systemically important company, the activity of which is vital for our country. The appropriate decision was made on April 24 by Government Commission of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

In April 2020, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation approved a new set of criteria for classifying companies as systemically important. At the same time, the list of industries was expanded whose subjects can be considered as systemically important.

As a result, the list of systemically important companies includes machinery producers for food and processing industries. Among them, the only representative of packaging machinery was TAURAS-FENIX.

Saint Petersburg plant TAURAS-FENIX is a leading Russian developer and producer of packaging equipment and technological lines for food industry.

TAURAS-FENIX has at its disposal a design department and a powerful production facility, which includes 4 factory buildings with a total area of more than 25,000 sq. m. Innovate machine tools and equipment allows to execute a full production cycle: from metal cutting to assembly of finished filling and packaging machines and technological lines.

Machinery works TAURAS-FENIX is an active participant in state projects aimed at developing of domestic economy.

Participating in national import substitution program, St. Petersburg machine builders were able to compete with leading western manufacturers of packaging equipment not only in the domestic market, but also in the foreign market.

In Saint Petersburg, TAURAS-FENIX is implementing a large-scale investment project to create a new plant that will produce super-modern, fully automatic filling and packaging lines for companies in various industries. The plant will create about 800 new workplaces.

The decision of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to include our plant in the list of systemically important companies was a milestone event for us. In fact, this is the recognition of TAURAS-FENIX special role in the development of Russian economy!

The status of a systemically important company allows us to lot upon additional support from the Government, which is in not out of place in the current economic crisis, associated with the spread of coronavirus infection.

I am sure that our plant will continue to be on a strong track and in ever-increasing amounts of modern competitive packaging equipment, which is particularly important for the country's food safety.
